    Default THEME: double dippin drillin

We were finished with our morning shoot and as I walked back along the beach edge, I noticed tidal pools and shorebirds feeding. Got down flat. At times I
had too much glass as they become more comfortable with my presence and moved closer. These sanderlings were lightning fast drilling into the wet sand for only a second it seemed and then it was time to scurry away. The background are shadows of other sanderlings.

Love the symmetry, sand on bills, well exposed whites , low POV

I might consider a 20% crop from the top, purely personal taste.

    Cheers

Very nice. I like the low angle and the pose on both birds.

Lovely shot I would also suggest a little off the top say 1cm. I like the sand on the bill, I presume this has been processed by them and that explains the spiral effect.

Great image Ann! I like the mirror like poses, exposure, IQ, low angle, composition and usually I don't care for OOF birds in the BG but it works well here.
