The perch was placed near a feeder I have set up on a nearby field.
She landed and immediately flew off, only 2 frames, 1 a blur.
    Vertical crop from horizontal.
Thanks for looking all critique welcome.

A beautiful bird in a classic WP pose, with just a hint of head turn. Interesting perch. It's just a bit tight in the frame for me, and I'm guessing the focus point wasn't on the head, which seems a bit soft. Given the beautiful background and nice perch, it's worth staking it out for a return of the good-looking bird.

Beautiful colours and exposure, reluctantly I have to agree the head could do with being a little sharper.

I like the pose, clean BG, exposure and beautiful perch really adds interest. Nice image Graham.

Bill/Jon the focus point was on the neck, maybe some movement as the next frame was a blur.
I agree though, head is a bit soft.

Juan illumination was setting sun and snow on the ground, so gave the appearance of flash.
Sure '' classic WP pose'' is short for woodpecker.

    Thanks for all comments.
