Immature Ring Billed Gull

Hi All,

This image was taken at Bear Lake, Idaho at Sunset.

I crawled on the belly and placed a near by rock to get some out of focus look at the bottom. I like the background waves which I think complemented the scene.

Nikon D500, 300mm f/4 +1.4x TCIII
ISO 800, f/5.6, 1/3200 sec
Manual Mode, Matrix Metering

Un Cropped Image, Noise Reduction and Nik 30-30 on the Bird.

A nice frame which shows off the gull perfectly, like the waves and the light slightly from RHS.
Not sure about out of focus bottom that's just me.

Beautiful light. Nice low angle. I don't mind the out of focus rock.

Nice light and low angle, along with a good full body pose. I think the OOF rock/ground in front of the bird detracts a bit from the image overall. You did well to avoid the wave cutting through the body.
