Taken in Jari's backyard hide near Oulu, Finland, last April. Berries were left to attract the birds.
Canon 1DXII and 400/2.8II on tripod, processed in Lightroom.
    1/2000, f5.6, ISO2000.

Nice, I like the falling snow from the berry being plucked.

One of my favorite birds since I was a child. Love the color and falling snow. Would like a bit more room above myself. Thanks for sharing. Happy shooting.

Fabulous birds, but only see them in numbers during winters, when the population where they breed is too big for available food.
Like the bird with berry and the snow falling from bunches of colourful berries set against the dark background.
Agree about a bit more above the bird.

Somehow I missed this one. Classic shot of Bohemian Waxwing. Nice details and eating berries. Love the falling snow/frost from the shaken berries. I agree a little more room above would be better.

Love it. Love the falling snow the berries and the bird. A nice BG as well. In addition to some more room above I think it could do with some NR on the BG just to clean up some of the grain. TFS

Thanks all for looking and the comments. Here is a re-cropped version with more at the top (although I have not done more NR). Changed the aspect ratio as I was cropping out out of focus birds in the top corners.
