    Default Female Ring Necked Duck

    From Santee Lakes in San Diego County CA. 5DIV with 100-400 II + 1.4x III, f8, 560mm, 1/1000, ISO 640. Tripod.
    I liked the "bow wave" perspective on this bird, she was really pushing water.

    Nice low angle. Good composition. The light looks a little harsh. I would lower the exposure.

    Thanks John, appreciate it. Agree with you on the light, even winter in San Diego is a bit harsh after golden hour. I'll tinker with the exposure.

    Just a bit tight in the frame IMO, but I too love the bow wake. Nice and sharp.
