Bringing us all back down to reality after the last 2 flight shots...

A little Snow Bunting from a freezing North Wales beach - great fun rolling around on the rocks and even better when he jumped up onto a pebble to raise himself up a little

A beautiful image, what's not to like, love the bird sandwiched between out of focus pebbles and perfect backdrop.
Bunting perfectly exposed, sharp, underparts bright from reflected light and great detail throughout.
Maybe a bit off the top.
Well worth crawling over the rocks.

    Graham.

Very nice. You got lucky with the bird choosing the highest rock to elevate just enough above the foreground stones. Only suggestion would be taking some from top as Graham suggested.

I love crawling on my belly for these types of shots. Would have been perfect for this months theme. I really like the bird perched up on that raised pebble. I think you could raise the brightness a touch to bring out more of the whites of the bird and the rest of the scene.

    Hi Mike,
This is hardly a 'bringing us down to reality" shot. Although I did laugh!
I love this. The bunting picked the perfect rock to perch on and the eye level view is perfect. Get the mods to change this image to "theme".
    Perfect HA.
I agree with taken some off the top.
Your UK buntings are much rustier colored than the ones I see here in Nova Scotia.

I think I might prefer rolling around on some warm Florida sand about now, but the rocks make for a lovely image. Nice of him to pick the high one. A fine eye-level shot indeed. Well done.

Very cool perch and setting. Slightly different color than the ones I've seen, a bit rustier as Gail said. A nice low profile shot. TFS

Hi Mike, great capture for this month's theme, and what a perfect pose you managed too. I really like the soft light in this, and the colours on the Bunting really pop nicely. Overall nice and sharp, and the Bunting certainly picked the right pebble to perch on to round the image off.

I agree with Isaac that it is a touch dark, but I love the setting and the way it perched atop the taller pebble. Nice profile view of this little guy.
