This lady was coming home to Anhinga Trail in Everglades National Park in Miami Florida, back in March of 2006. Image was painted with a Nikon D70s, Nikkor VR 18-200mm; @ 112mm; ISO 400; 1/250sec. - f/5.6

    Hello Gus,

This image suffers from several aspects. The exposure looks like it was set for the darks which allowed to blow the highlights in the wings and legs. The composition or cropped could be a little tighter in the frame and the Heron's facing the other direction is not ideal.

    Thanks!

Nice to get a GBH in flight anytime. Good work on that. I agree its a bit overexposed on the bird and the composition is a bit busy. Looks like the focus is a bit past the bird. I do like the wing position and the reflection in the water, keep at it.

Very nice timing to catch this flight shot but as mentioned it looks a little overexposed and it would be more desirable to have the bird coming towards you.. Really like that you were able to capture the reflection as well. Thanks for sharing Gus.
