    Jim:

Lovely bird, nice head angle, interesting perch with texture and detail, without being overpowering, soft BG.

    Cheers

    Flat out gorgeous for me...
I think you could maybe do a pass of NR on the BG.

Ooh this is pretty. It's funny how in Costa Rica, this is about the least colorful of all of the tanagers that you will encounter except Palm Tanager but the subtle colors on this bird or no less beautiful. I love the perch, the pose and the background. All are just great. Only thing I would work on is the light area on the top of the head. As presented the whites are too hot and you don't have much detail there.

Very nice image. Lovely perch, pose and BG. I do agree with Isaac, perrhaps you can extract a bit more details from the top of the head and maybe a little bit of sharpening from the top of the eye could help.

This is very nice Jim. Love the perch and the pose. Great HA and good details. I agree with Isaac re: toning down the whites on head.
    You did well in CR,

    Lovely image Jim,
I agree with comments regarding top of head.
Like the pose, perfect HA, great detail in plumage and perch.
I have been fortunate to see these beauties on Tobago, love the eyes.

Hi Jim, lovely HA, sharp, and overall, good DOF on the Tanager. I like the angled perch together with all the litchen on it, and the blues of the Tanager look good against the darker BG.
