    excellent shot bill. You have a great perch, terrific IQ on the bird that shows off the iridescence beautifully.
    Love the eye.
    I find the BG a bit too smooth and would back off a bit.

    Bill:

    I like the subtle colors in the bird, not always easy to bring out in a grackle. Pop from the yellow eye, interesting perch which doesn't overwhelm because of the crop, soft background

    Nice flash use.
