Like the way wings and tail feathers are illuminated, also shutter speed has caught duck and snow flakes perfectly.
Yes maybe could have had more luck with wings, but overall a good image.
I think it would look good as a vertical.

Love the snowflakes! I can see why you like this shot.
Bird looks great.
I would tone down or eliminate the brighter white spot above the duck.
It is too bad the branches are there as they pull the eye away from the mallard,

Nice wintry flight shot. Sometimes tough to get AF to work in the snow. I don't mind the branches too much, but I would take out the large white spot.

I really like the snow here, yes a better wing position would had been better but as it is I don't mind it too much. Only thing I do mind is the branches that like Gail said, it keeps pulling away my eyes from the duck.

Great shot, I love the snow and the perspective of the bird. You can see the feathers on his front flattening against his chest as he's landing, so he look very pancakey. Which I think is great for a funny bird like a mallard.
