Taken recently on my trip to Bosque. The crane pools were quite productive a few mornings.

Very nice Ray. Love the muted tones in the BKG. Bird details are very nice (good light) and like the wing position.

Good work. And right down sun angle -- excellente! And the Chupadera's frame the bird perfectly in the warm, early light. What AF setting do you use for flight? With this image, is the face razor sharp or is focus slightly past the head; it is hard to tell with a small JPEG.

Hard to do much better than this, Ray with the bird heading on a nice diagonal towards you, great downstroke and great detail and tonal range on the bird. All tied up in an effective composition with a soft, muted background that highlights the environment well.

Perfect framing of the shot for my taste, with the mountains in the BG just being well enough defined. Dynamic flight angle on the bird, nice work
