Happy 2018 everyone. This was one of the two young male tigers we saw from close quarters at ranthambhor national park/tiger sanctuary in Rajasthan.

Hi Sanjeev -- nice walking pose and that raised paw is adding to the frame. natural looking colours with good details and sharpening. techs look a bit to much for the settings IMO , especially the iso ( for 7D MK II ) and ss, but a very fine looking tiger image yet again . enjoying your images from ranthambore , brings those memory back to me . TFS !

Hi Sanjeev - The tiger images keep getting better and better. Great walking pose with raised paw and dropped head. Excellent eye contact. This also seems to have that bit of depth and oomph in the tones of the tiger that I thought was missing in the previous post. I agree that you could have dropped the ISO and the ss substantially but this is one I would be very happy to have in my files. Well done.

    TFS,
    Rachel

I like the walking pose and that you did well with the sun from our left. If you twisted my arm I would have to say that the image quality looks a bit less than stellar likely due to the 7DII/ISO 1600 ...

Lovely shot I like the angle from which it was taken. I have not used a 7D Mk II and I appreciate the quality would have been better logically speaking at ISO 800 but I am surprised that previous suggestions indicate the image would have been a lot better.
(I am not arguing just surprised)

I really must get to experience something like getting close to these magnificent animals at such a short focal length - wonderful!

This shot off the size of these paws really well, it just oozes power and confidence, nice timing
