I got a shot of this owl flying over an open field. The undersides were nicely lit from the snow. Soon it plunged into the snow after some prey. it was behind some grass, so I was not able to capture that. Canon 7dll and 100-400ll at 400 mm, 5.6, 1/2500, 2500 iso

What a great flight capture, Michael. Wonderful concentration, flat out extended wings, curled up feet, and lovely warm tones. Brilliant reflected light and fine detail.

Very impressive shot Michael. Great pose and detail and nicely composed. The soft and complementary colour pallete is wonderful also. Shame you missed to prey capture but can't have everything.

I wish it was turned a wee bit more towards you for a view of the far eye, but still pretty cool as is. These guys are so quiet despite their size, and I get feeling that from this gliding pose.

Quite beautiful and sharp. He really is focused on the task at hand. I like the framing and the crop. Where?
