Something a bit different for me and something I find hard to do- which is to zoom out once in a while or enjoy the bird small in the frame!
    Canon 1DX
    600mm
    F8 SS 1/3200 ISO 800
PP-Small crop for comp, LR6 sliders and levels in CS5 and I selectively brightened the eagle by +8. USM to JPEG and NR to BG. Nothing cloned or added.
Happy New Year to everyone at BPN. Thank you for your helpful critiques and online and in-person friendships this past year.
    See you in 2018!

I like the banking pose, dark sky, IQ, composition and the HA. Very nice image Gail.

Nice eagle frame. Really like the clouds. Nice fight pose as well.

Lovely frame, Gail. Great dorsal view with head turn, dramatic sky. Good exposure and detail.

Happy New Year to you!. Thanks for your insightful comments throughout the year, and for your inspiring images. Looking forward to more in 2018.

Gail, this one has a painterly feel to it, which I like a great deal. I think it may be partly because of the mottled sky - a nice touch. The pose on the bird is great and your handling of tone and colour beautiful and up to your usual high standard. No nits from me on this.
