    Default Meadowlark Lift Off

    Meadowlark taking flight at Bernardo NWP (just north of Bosque de Apache). Light wasn't ideal but happy to grab the action.

    Details: D500 and Sigma 500/4 and 1.4 TC, HH, 1/3200, ISO 2500, f8, C1P and 2018 CCC.

    pretty cool take off, agree with self critique re. light and also wish the wings were fully up, ok too much to ask for :)

    I like the pose on the bird. Agree with you about the light.

    Hi Joel,
    Agree about the light being from the wrong direction shadowing the face.
    The pose is good.
    For my tastes, i find the image a bit tight and would like to see a bit more room top and RHS.

    not that it was going to be a portfolio piece - lol , but still good to "work it"... per suggestions, a bit more space added up top... cheers

    Sharp, and a nice action catch but the light kills it for me ...
