This was taken in Oct 2007 with S5 and Nikon 70-300 VR @ 300 mm; ISO 400; f5.6 1/1000 sec.; shutter priority mode; no flash. Original in horizontal format. I think vertical should fit better.

    C&C welcome !!

Hi Desmond, I like this crop. I think that this is a lovely shot - such a sweet bird and pose. My only nit is that I find the OOF branches on the left and the brown splodge on the right a little distracting.
    Well done!

Hi Desmond. Agree with Nicki about the OOF splodges and I might be tempted to crop a little bit off the top but it's a splendidly sharp shot and I love the pose.

I like position in frame, that is how small birds is frame look best !! Must be a large crop... work in getting close. Looking good !!!

Excellent focus. Nice sharp lines. Adorable subject. I agree about the branch but other than that it's top notch.

Well, crop about 30% from the right, another 30% from the left, and then 20% from the top :)

I've tried cloned out everything in the background, but I found the result unnatural...so, I don't know. May be blurring it more could help.
