    A Flicker I came across at Bernardo NWP just north of Bosque. Nice spot to visit as well. Know this is a flicker but not sure what kind... northern juvie? C&C welcome.

    Details: D500 + Sigma 500/4, HH, 1/1000, ISO 250, 6.3, EC -.3 - C1P and CCC post-processing.

    Hey there Jay, you've got yourself a "red-shafted race" of a Northern Flicker. Good details and colours. Head angled bit away from us. The main perch has some neat bark peeling away, I like that. The background is busy for my personal tastes though.
