Hi folks wish you all a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year ......may all your wishes come true and stay healthy !!!!!!

Thanks for all the feedback and support over this year .....much appreciated .

Regarding the image , recently taken on Helgoland thrown myself into the sand to emphasize the stormy /sandy conditions , no blurring added and i kept the DOF small for this effect .

Wonderfully atmospheric shot Andreas, i love the look you're getting here with those gorgeous eyes. The little grains go sand being blown around work very nicely. Im guessing the blown white area just to the left of the seal is down to compression of the image.

The only thing I would have preferred would have been more space above and a little less below as I feel it would have balanced the shot a bit better.

Fur detail is just about perfect,

    Mike

Hi Andreas - This is really beautiful. I love the soft tones/colors combined with the blowing sand. Nice detail and I think Mike's suggestion for an alternate comp would work also. Great low pov really makes this.

    Rachel

Very nice, Andreas. Hard to imagine how you could do much better than this one. Hope you didn't have any issues with sand in your camera and lens though - but getting low has certainly paid off. I like the blowing sand, monotone foreground and nice soft background, with the tack-sharp head drawing all the attention. Great composition to round it off. One of your best, I think. Hope you had a great Christmas too and all the best for 2018.

    Dear Andreas,

One of your loveliest images to date. There is something so special about this - the mood and feel you managed to portray appeals tremendously. Superb techs and processing Boetie. Outstanding colours. This just works!

Happy New Year to you too, and let us hope 2018 finds us inspired and ready to go out there and experiment!

Will drop you a mail soon, been swamped with work and lots of challenges work wise. Thank you so much for sharing another stunning seal image - I so enjoyed viewing!!!

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

PS If you think C1 one is complicated there is another program that will tie you into knots and far more complicated.

Hi folks thanks so much for all your positive feedback , much appreciated .
Well i personally think this is not one of my best ones posted , but hey i accept your opinions .
Might be because i do rather prefer action shots ....but try for sure something like this when the options are there .

A real gem love the details and the tiny swirling snow flakes.
