Slowest winter ever… things are abnormally slow this winter here by the beach in So CA., we're not getting
our usual influx of migrants yet (weather?). This lone Pintail was nice enough to come over for a shot before swimming off.

    Thanks for looking.

I like these kinds of images of ducks. Good head angle and a great view of that tail. I don't think the head looks tack sharp. Also the whites of the chest are too gray and lacking detail. Did you have to tone down the highlights a bunch?

Great looking pose from this handsome drake Tim. Nice HA and the tail is showing well.
Looks sharp enough to me? Seeing that there are white whites on the chest tells me that it is the natural chest color as these guys and shovelers get a dirty look to their chest. They are not solid white at all.
    Well done

I like that you got the pink on the head to show, and I like the foot visible underneath the water surface. The raised tail adds nicely to the curving posture.

A slightly lower POV and looser crop would improve this a lot.
Well done, I do like it. Nice HA and great details.

Ákos, Thanks, unfortunately a lower perspective is prohibitive at this wildlife refuge, this was taken from a footbridge.
