I photographed this colorful and relatively large skipper in Costa Rica. 1D IV, Canon 70-300mm (at 300mm), tripod, 1/500, f/8, ISO 640. I used NIK software to selectively darken the brighter areas of the background and I applied NR to the background.
Beautiful image Steve. I like the diagonal composition and the inclusion of the sharp end of the grass blade. Exposure and details look spot on. Very well done.
