I know this would look better with the yote looking into the frame. I like the sense of tension this creates with him looking out of the frame. It makes me think what is he looking at.
There was also a fence literally just out of the frame on the left. Not an old wooden rustic fence with rusted barbed wire, but a brand new shiny metal industrial looking fence. Image adjustments in Lightroom.

A fine looking animal, well presented in this image, John. I'm happy with the off-angle glance. Mid-ground grass and background look great but I'm not that keen on the mown looking stuff in the foreground. Lovely detail and nice colours on the coyote. That fence has made composition tricky: more room on the left would have been nice given the coyote staring in that direction.

Hi John - Again, pp looks much better here. I understand you were avoiding the fence on the left but I think I would trim some off the rhs to balance the image a bit more. I think you need that grass at the bottom for the virtual legs so I'm ok with it.

Nice shot, I think it is just a little lacking in contrast or pop, I also get the impression the image looks overall a little bit yellow - is your monitor due for calibration?

It is a beautiful animal. I like the natural grasses and out of focus background. Thinking a bit tighter crop from the right, top and bottom might work here if you are not too tight already. They are just starting to move into my area on the eastern shore of Maryland. I have not seen one in range but am always looking. TFS
