This image was taken in Nickerson Beach, Ny earlier in the Year.

I captured multiple image with American Oystercatcher foraging in the beach and I liked this one. I like the pray in the bill which attracted me.

    Nikon D500, 500m f/4
    ISO 400, f/4, 1/.1250 sec
    Manual Mode, Matrix Metering

    Post Processing:-

Cropped on the left and extended canvas on the right
Cloning dust spots at the bottom
Noise reduction and Nik 25-25 Filter on the bird
Darken via burn Layer for the bright white feathers
Removed Slight Yellow cast due to burn layer
Curve Adjustment to add a touch of contrast

    Hope you all like it

    Thanks for watching

looks pretty good, nice pose and light and I like the food item as well but too bad about the bands.

Hi Krishna, excellent low angle of capture, and you have done well with the exposure on this fellow on both the whites and blacks on him. The light looks nice and soft, overall sharp, and the feeding behaviour a bonus.

Bummer about the bands, but at least they are color coordinated with the bill and eye! The food item is neat. Good light quality as well. A lower angle would have been fun to try (perhaps you did). I'm wondering if the image may need a tiny bit of CCW rotation?

    Hi Dan,

Thanks for the comments. The orientation looks ok to my eye.

Does it look crooked to you ?

    Thanks
    Krishna
