This is my first post in BPN. I hope I did it right.

Welcome to BPN, Matt. This is a great first post, and I like the calling pose. You would click on the Theme prefix if your post is a winter capture, for December theme.

Sweet singing pose you have here. This is about my favorite songbird to photograph. Blues look really good as do the details. I would loosen the crop a tiny bit all around. I would prefer the edges of the leaf on the left to not be touching the edge of the frame. That would also allow you to get the full leaves on the 2 on the bottom that are cut off. I would do a curves adjustment and bring up the brightness a bit. Bummer about the 2 leaves that are cutting off the tail, especially the upper one. Still a great first post. Welcome and very much looking forward to more.

Wonderful image to start your journey on BPN! Good call going vertical, nice details and light, great colours. Hope to see more, and don't be shy critiquing others' works too

What amazing colour on this beauty, Matt. Very nice first post. Great detail, tone and colour on the bird and perfect, soft background. Nice to get the bird calling too. Composition work well for me and light angle has not created any significant shadows. Hope to see lots more from you.

Matt, nice singing pose, details and colors. Whenever I've seen these here in So. CA. they never have the full blue coloration, very nice.
