    An Australasian grebe in breeding plumage.
    1DXII 400mm F/2.8L II & 2XIII 800 mm 1/5000 f5.6 iso800 seated by a small farm dam with lens resting on my knee.
    Cropped to retain the full ripple circle around the bird.

    Nice shot - looks just like our little grebe. I would consider a recrop, you could still retain the ripple but lose an lot of empty space.

    Colin, nice colors and details I would go with more of a pano crop on this if it where mine taking most of it from the bottom.
