    Good behavior captured here with good DOF. Blacks well exposed and I wonder if you can get a bit more from the whites on the gull's head.
    I might be tempted to clone out the diagonal piece of grass near gull's leg.

    f/8 got it real good here Jon. I like your POV and the detail on the birds. I like the crop. Both facial expressions tell the story

    Nothing beats a bit of drama to make a good image, Jon. The poses of the two birds, with one gull's wing running diagonally up to the left, works a treat. Excellent timing on the capture. I know how hard it is to get a pleasing shot from these situations. I invariably fail. Like Gail, I wonder if you can get a bit more from the whites on the gull too. Great work all the same.

    Thanks for the feedback, I have had a look at the whites they were around the 240-245 mark, I dropped them to 235.but no further detail gained (probably angle of feathers and light).
