    Default Harris's Hawk Lift-off

From Martin Ranch in south Texas a few weeks ago. Although the bird's body is angled slightly toward me, his head is turned slightly away, toward his destination; a bit of turn toward me would have been nice. But what I got a kick out of in this frame was the way the bird's take-off position precisely matched that of the Caracara in my previous post (http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...acara-Lift-off).

Another great one from this trip Bill. I agree a slight head turn would have been great but still very nice as is. Love the liftoff pose and perch. I think a bit less room on the left and some more on the right could help. TFS

Lovely colors, pose and details Bill. Agree with the HA self critique, but is a nice frame. TFS.

Fine lift-off capture, Bill. Nice soft light, and grayish blue sky.

Bill, another one that shows off your skill at both capturing fine images and processing them, with the usual great detail, tone and colour. Nice pose in spite of the head angle which doesn't worry me at all. I'd probably give the bird a bit more room to fly into and take some off the left of the frame but a very minor point on what is a fine image.
