This was taken at the north beach lagoon in Fort DeSoto . I got as low as I could so the line where the beach meets the water wouldn't run through the body but that's as low as I could get.
I waited for about 20 minutes for this little guy to work his way toward me and I think it paid off .

Low angle is great like the green background.

Nice! Stuart, I love the green BG. I think you did a great job of getting most of the bird into the green. You can't get much lower than you did, and I appreciate the low perspective. It looks like the sun angle was dead on, and the bird looks really comfortable with your presence. Nice positioning in the frame, and I think the few remaining little pieces of grass on the beach add balance. I've been working to try to get get shots like myself. Good job.

I think you did really good considering the harsh light. Good detail on the bird and the background is really nice. Thank you for sharing.

Terrific POV and composition Stuart... the remaining blades of grass don't bother me, and I like the brighter grains of sand too.
Your patience certainly paid off for this wonderful encounter, warmer sunlight would've made it even better. Nicely done.

I like the low perspective and details look good. I very much like the low shooting angle. Light was harsh here for sure that created some shadows on the bird. I find images where the bird is looking away to be less engaging then when that head is turned a few degrees toward you. I would also clone out the white spots on the right side of the frame.
