Always enjoy the wintering ducks down here in SoCal. Was fortunate to catch this Gadwall Drake as he flew past me on a beautiful morning last February at my favorite pond.

Details looks great. Really nice down stroke. Water droplets coming off are nice. I'm not crazy about the lower right part of the background. That dark and slanted area is distracting. Also the bird has already passed you here and is slightly angled away.
A beauty of a shot, Kirk. IMO Gadwalls have among the most lovely plumage patterns of all the waterfowl, and your fine detail here captures it perfectly. Nicely done.
