I went to the local loch as per usual this weekend, and discovered it frozen... Not much birds about, but I did spend an hour with this cygnet. The bird had made a trail through the ice, breaking it with the chest. I liked this one, as it showed the power of its webbed foot, as it pushed against the water to break the ice. The bird did panic a few times, but eventually broke enough ice, to make a 'runway' and took off. The BG is the trail of broken ice.

Will, I like that you included the trail of broken ice in the BG. It helps to visualize the story about it trying to get out of the ice. It looks like it's struggling. Glad you got rewarded with an interesting subject.
