A chickadee taken at my parents house using a feeder setup today. Cropped about 15%, added some canvas to the right, cloned out a second catchlight, some NR on the BG, and sharpened. I hope everyone had a nice thanksgiving -- on that note I'm really thankful for all the advice and help I've gotten on this forum in the past year .

Hi Alex, killer backdrop and I think both portrait or landscape format can work, but if portrait you need to shoot it that way and retain the IQ, don't through it away by cropping. I would look to get a bit more depth & detail in the stem and leaves, but watch the OOF focus items overlapping the bottom leave, especially if this is a set up. A bit more image below would be good.
Thanks all, greatly appreciated. I need to get quicker switching to vertical in camera -- this was my first attempt at a set up and I was amazed how fast these guys moved around and how hard it was to nail focus at such a short range. I'm not able to do these set ups at my place so I'll give it another crack in a couple weeks. Thanks again!
