Had to resort to a little back garden photography, getting withdrawal symptoms, weather has been so poor. Off to the coast now at high tide maybe lady luck will be with us!.

This is so pretty. Perfect pose, great composition, excellent feather detail and an ideal background. Love the perch. Excellent all around.

Nice one Jon. Love that BG against the perch. Maybe lighten the bird(apart from the whites) up a wee bit.

Really lovely. I can only echo what everyone has said. I love the perch the HA / details and the BG. The blue in the BG I think works well. TFS

Wow, nice one Jon. No nits from me at all. I love the balance of the thistle head and bird in counter-posed positions, wonderful background, great detail, lovely colour and tone. Wish it was mine!

Love it Jon and the thistle being at an angle bolsters a strong composition. Good detail and I like the catchlight, nice techs, just a sliver at the top for me.

One of the best frames i've seen, of what must be one of the most commonly photographed birds here Jon it's so well framed and executed, ha ha tell me you were waiting for a goldie really Love the cap fluffed up and as has been said the balance of the image. Teasels are such a lovely perch.

Jon I love seeing the common stuff done really well as here by great photographers,it's really inspiring !! Hmm yup, winter is hard for us that like to make an image ,we've just had the best weekend here for ages and I have no lens now due to the an upgrade and the long wait

All the best lovely to view Jon
