    I captured this image at Lake Morton in Lakeland, Florida. The ducks are beginning to arrive in Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Love Wood Ducks and just posted one also . I like the pose and the head angle. Nice calm water also. I think the image is a little cool and could use some warming up. Also the image is a little flat to me. Maybe increase the mid tones or do a small curves adjustment. Or even just add a few points of black to the neutrals in selective color.

    Joe, a wonderful looking bird. Wish we had them that colourful - although I guess all our parrots over here make up for it. The tones do look a bit thin on this one for me. The main issue I see though is that it's a little soft, unlike your usual standard in that area. How does the RAW look. Nice reflection and simple, effective composition that works for me.

    Thanks Glenn, I appreciate the feedback. I agree... too low shutter speed, and too big a crop for a swimming duck. Thanks again.
