    This Wood Duck was photographed shortly after dawn in Central Park. There are still leaves on some trees and their reflection is turning the water beautiful golden shades.

    Canon 1dx mark ii with Canon 500 f4 ii. ISO 1600, F6.3, SS 1/2000

    Thanks Arash. Still on this monitor that I am about to return. Colors are not accurate. Here it is warmed up a bit and increased the brightness a touch.

    Ah, thank you for brightening it as well, I was going to suggest that. Quite the full stretch you got him in here. Looks like the nictitating membrane was partially closed? I love the fiery BG.

    Great timing, Isaac. Beautiful light and I like the water droplets on his chest and in the air. Very nice color reflected in the in the water.

    Gorgeous bird and perfect moment of capture Isaac. Not sure how the raw looks but the head looks a touch soft to me - may just be these small images? Detail on the rest looks great as does tone. Do I detect a touch of green/blue on the white underside of the bird? Perhaps reflected off the water. The golden tones on the water are wonderful and composition works for me. THanks for sharing

    Terrific full wing stretch. Great colors. Repost is an improvement. Amazing what you can find in Central Park.
