Great light and action. I think it needs a tiny bit of CW rotation and I would crop the dark part at the top.

Stunning image. I love the detail in the fish's fins. Just an excellent all around image. I don't mind the way it sits.

Very nice. I like the light on the fish fins & the splash. Would crop the dark top.

Fantastic and yes to a small CW rotation. How did you know to be -1/3 before the action started??? (Without the splashes, a bit of + would have been correct...)

    Hey Layton,
Like this one a lot after the corrections. splash puts it over the top! Maybe a hair more off the top for my tastes.........but I'm sure Artie will give me **** for that one!

I;d be fine with a bit more off the top. Layton, you should not have cropped at all from the left... (It is attention to small details that help one improve...) The room at the back was vital to the image as it balanced with the bird in the front of the frame...

Lastly, you missed my question: How did you know to be -1/3 before the action started??? (Without the splashes, a bit of + would have been correct...)

My Mark III is real sensitive to bright highlites, so especially backlit subjects I shoot at -1/3 stop. Then check the histogram. Layton

Do you keep Highlight Tone Priority on? IAC, you wound up perfect for this image.
