    A male lion marches along at Masai mara. He seemed not very happy & probably was hungry. I wish there was more space below but this is near full frame.

    I like the image, I suspect portrait mode may have been more advantageous. Yourself critique is valid, though perhaps the answer lies in taking the image from a lower standpoint, probably impracticable I suspect. In a situation like this maybe a more distant viewpoint lower down with the 500mm would have been ideal. That it not very helpful for this image I am afraid but it may be worthwhile having a look at a portrait crop of this image?

    Hi Sanjeev -- I agree with what Jonathan has to say, vertical framing and a lower POV would have done great thing for this image. Light looks pretty good and you have managed to get those details in your subject, also the colours look quite nice. The framing is not ideal from my pov as the vegetation is competing with the Lion for viewers eye.

    It seems you have got this male quite a no. of times on your trip to Mara.
