Again from Ft. Desoto North Beach. This guy had just taken a bath, but the shutter was not depressed once for that as it was facing the incoming waves...butt toward me. Luckily he then turned around to preen and fluff.
Canon 40D + 100-400L @400mm, manual, 1/1600s., f/7.1, ISO400, +0.3 EC metered off water, handheld, ~75% full frame.
Sharp with a perfect EXP and a whole lotta shaking going on. Only way to make it better would have been to get down in the sand. Are you at DeSoto now???

Very nice Dan. It was great to get out with you yesterday and hear about your Florida trip and particularly your outing with James on the Hooptie Deux.
He he, I did plenty of army-style crawling around at Desoto :-) ...this particular part of the beach slants a little downward towards the water though. I was in that part of Florida the first week of June (where I also benefitted from a great day on the Hooptie Deux to top off a couple of mornings at Desoto.)
