Another one from the trip to the Glen. This was captured from the window of my car with the use of a beanbag.

Lovely portrait of this handsome Pheasant Will. I love the BG for the beautiful Autumn colors, and the muted greens are so pretty. Wonderful detail, DOF, and HA. Well done.

The perch is so-so (and the left edge of it seems soft), but I love the colours and autumn setting. If you have a bit more top and bottom I would be OK with that. Awesome patterns on the feathers!

Terrific one william. Nice colours. A bit tight frame i would say. & the bird is far too centered. If space allowed i would have more room on the top & to the right. The catch light in the eye is not very sharp i felt ( but i am not seeing it as well)?

Will, the colors on the bird are awesome, HA & BG are very nice too.
A little more room on the bottom couldn't hurt, heck I would love to have a clean Pheasant shot like this.
I don't know if I've ever seen one in the wild, thanks for sharing.

A really eye catching image Will, just a tad tight in the frame perhaps, if possible I would loosen the crop.
Was the exposure spot on? I ask because I think there is a little noise in the breast and tail feathers.

Neat bird and colors. Never seen one on a post :) A bit of Eye Doctor work would leave this one looking sharper on the eye and face. I am not seeing any appreciable noise anywhere.

Very nice to get one of these guys with BG in the OOF distance unless they are flying--maybe some focus nits around face but nevertheless a lovely image Will.

Hi Will, excellent angled pose, and the light has really brought out the colours so well. Yes to neatening up the catchlight in the eye, and just love the killer BG. Another vote for adding a bit to the bottom, and on a personal note, I would come in from the RHS a touch.

Hey Will, neat pheasant. As Artie wrote... I do not think I have ever seen one posted here. Beautiful bird, when kids for sport we used to go to the fields to flush pheasants for sport. Thank you for sharing.
