The turn-back pose and direct stare, the lovely light and desert background make for a beautiful image. If I had to nitpick it would be to wish for a little more DOF on the perch.

Just about perfect... the Burrowing Owls in the west appear more reddish brown than the Florida species. I agree with Bill regarding the out of focus bush, probably too far away for depth of field to help. I might spend some time removing the out of focus branches beneath the owl. Thank you for sharing, Arash.

Not even a bit of shadow in either eye... perfect head angle, perfect light angle, and perfect position by you to capture this beautiful image Arash. Masterfully captured and processed as usual... excellent work. :-)

Hi Arash, very nicely framed, being off-set really works well here. Killer light, you need to come to the UK to really appreciate the light you guys have. At that distance surely more DoF will give you less rather than more, as you must have been around 80m to the subject?

The light angle couldn't be any more perfect!! Look at those eyes fully lit and catch lights lined up right on the money. Nice colors and details too. Well done Buddy

Mmmm, what's there not to like here. Beautifully rendered colour and tone on the bird, superb detail, magnificent pose and stare, lovely composition and complementary soft background. An interesting perch to round it off. Hard to do much better than this.
