With Stu posting his PS owl it reminded me to look back at the owlets folder again from this year, thanks Stu. Taken quite late, around 9.15am, the perch is an actual piece of York Minster stone hidden away in the vegetation I found, but was told about it's provenance.

Steve is camo netting the bkg?? the central curve above and behind the kidlet's head, and evenness of pattern are leading me to ask this . Maybe a beech hedge if not after that i'm struggling !! Lovely image buddy, no shadows so I presume cloudy. ha ha Stu made me look at one day when we got to see som small owls too 
I like the shape of the perch, and that is covered in moss, and the BG behind the little guy is a killer.
