Same field as my last snow goose post-- in S, Delta , B.C. It's a sweet sight to see geese dropping out of the sky from up high, sliding back and forth on cupped wings with neck arched and feet down. A few were willow leafing up high but I wasn't able to capture any of that on this outing. 7DII, Sigma 150-600mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM APO Macro, ISO640, f/8,1/2000

Hi Bob, good capture of what seems like a male and female, and that there is a tiny bit of separation between them. I like the show of the near wing of the far Goose, but sadly they are flying slightly away from you.

Thanks Stuart. This is an adult and a juvenile, no doubt parent and offspring. There were five juvies in the family group that these two separated away from by just enough to get this pair shot. Here's that family, 14 frames and 7 seconds earlier. These birds have been here 3-4 weeks and are all really fat and healthy.

The geese angling away from you is unfortunate. The second image has a better incoming angle, but a few unlucky merges. IT can be immense fun watching thousands upon thousands of these take off or land eh!

It's right up there with elk bugling and wolves howling Daniel.
