Photographed this Greater Sage Grouse in its natural habitat while in Colorado in May. It was badly overcast but some hazy sun was shining through the thick clouds which almost made everything seem foggy. Shortly after I took this photo it started pouring rain.

I like the image. The mountain and the landscape looks good. I wish the subject at little bit bigger.

Fits the theme nicely. Great pose, and placement in the frame. Wonderful habitat. Some day maybe I'll get to see these guys. Nicely captured.

I've been hunting Sage grouse with falcons for almost 30 years and I can tell you this scene puts me right back in the high desert grouse county. I can feel the crisp air and smell the sage now :) Love the strutting boomer, wide open sage and the snowcaped mountains in the distance. Well captured Isaac
