Shortly before sunset, the water on the tidal pool at Chincoteague was glassy-smooth. I got the full sequence of this guy landing, but just at the moment of touchdown he turned his head away and the head was shaded by the wings; so I liked this best of the sequence.

This is very cool Bill. Love that you can not tell where exactly the bird is flying. Can't tell if that is a puddle or what. Overall maybe the image is a bit dark.

Luck was with you to get the water this glassy - and you've used it beautifully to capture this frame Bill. Practically nothing I'd change here - except maybe a bit more detail/sharpening on the bird? The rest including the composition looks great to me.

Thanks guys. Yes, Isaac, it may be just a tad dark.

How cool. I can't see any differential between the water and the BG. Nice pose and details but I wish he was a bit closer to the water but nice none the less. Yes to bumping up the exposure a bit too. Well done

Thanks David. Here's a repost with the entire image a bit brighter, and a tad more sharpening. I suppose I could have cut out some of the space between the bird and its reflection, but this is where he was.
