    I was trying to get shots of just the foreground bird, expecting to crop in a decent amount, and one of his thousand or so friends on the beach did the wind-up-toy sprint right past the camera. Good grief are these little guys impossible to photograph standing still! From Nickerson Beach, NY.

    I really like this. The guy in the background almost steals the show, but the target bird is excellent standalone.

    Nice high key look, Jake. I'd still like to see a touch more detail in those white highlights on the foreground bird though while retaining the overall look. The rest looks great: yes, I do like the one racing past in the background too. Nicely composed with good balance between the two birds.
