Default Shore bird extreme close up

Not an image for the monthly theme:). A close up from 2013 when I experimented with extension tubes.

Lovely close-up Lóránt! I like the comp and detail. I'd probably darken the pupil just a touch. Not sure how you feel. It appears to just get lost in the eye.
    Well done!

And lighten the iris a bit ... Because you have properly exposed for the WHITEs. The compositions are inherently awkward. You have done well but the image quality is not up to your usual standards frpm where I am sitting, which is waiting at the McDonald's drive-thru for my breakfast burritos while their system is down :)

I agree about the eye work, just be careful not to overdo it. I think the image could use a touch more sharpening for web presentation, but I have no doubt the file is tack sharp. I love it when shorebirds allow close approach like this, and you took advantage of the situation quite well.

    Always good to experiment!
I agree about the eye. Good IQ
I am not comfortable with the composition. It feels awkward to my eye. I tried various crops but just could not come up with anything I liked. Is this FF?

Thanks for the comments. I agree about the composition...it is so bad that I like it:). It isn't FF , but close. Thanks again.
