Default Mother love ...of European Bison II

Hi Folks a second frame of that situation i captured recently in Kraansvlak , as Gerald said in the wildest Netherlands .
Shot taken in golden morning light , was very happy to witness this quite intimate scene between mother and her calf .
Wish i would have more space at the foot of the frame , but there is none for the virtual legs .

    Canon EOS 1Dx II

    F 8; Iso 12800 ; 1/2000 sec

Processed with DPP and PSCC 2018 ; slight crop from top and RHS

Thanks for watching and commenting to my previous thread .

    Cheers Andreas

    Stunning, Andreas.

Had you been able to allow for more space at the bottom of the frame this would have been perfect. Superb pose and HA from both mother and young. Lovely rich colours as well as textures, great detail. Sparse light falls in just the right places, augmenting an already existing emotional content. There's something so powerful and noble about those beasts and you captured it so well - congratulations

    Kind regards,

Nice one Andreas, great light, perhaps a sliver off the top?

Hi Andreas - The light is very nice here and I love the tranquil look of the calf as opposed to the slightly wilder look of the mom. I agree with your self-assessment of needing a bit more room below. For that reason, I think I prefer the frame you posted earlier. Still a nice one though.

    Rachel

Gorgeous fur texture, and your signature techs have done this frame proud. I also agree that a bit more below would have been ideal, maybe at the expense of a bit off the top, but thats very easy to say in the comfort of my chair!

A nice series of shots, a trip I'd quite like to get round to doing - I don't think there are many better big animal encounters that can be done in Europe for reasonable money

ANdreas you are on fire with your Bison images , great light and terrific details as well. Liked the framing ( more at the bottom would have been even better) and the colors look so lovely. Loved it .

Amazing Andreas, I think I shall have to pay a visit to the Netherlands the bison make for such impressive subjects. You really have got those colours and details beautifully rendered.

It has all been said - this is a beautiful image. Colours and details and that hair/fur looks incredibly soft to the touch.

I'm surprised to see how the alignment of the eyes makes the image so powerful - hadn't considered that before. Almost like a yin-yang design!

    Great work, Bro!
