This is Aggro, the mother of the 3 one year old cubs. Here she relaxes a bit at the water's edge in the warm late afternoon light. The cubs were just a few yards to her left.

    Hello Rachel,

Your bear girl looks so calm and relaxed here, I could say meditative. She is well placed within the frame and the pano crop works well. Nice detail, lovely rich colours and tones.
Aggro is really gorgeous - I wish to see more of her and the cubs in the future, if you have. Thank you so much for this

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Looks like you were quite close here Rachel. I'm feeling nervous already even though Aggro looks quite relaxed at the moment. Perhaps she has a belly full of food? I hope. I like the pose and turned head as well as the low POV. Colour and tone look good to me although the light was clearly quite harsh and not ideal. Nothing you can do about that. Overall and nice study of a relaxed and confident animal.

Hi Rachel works well as presented ...like this one so much because i think just the right exp and the perfect luminance levels over the complete range. Many other images from that trip you posted, seemed to be too light in the HL , 1/4 tones and sometimes even the 1/2 tones.
I do like the stretched pose and the checker look of momma ....

    Keep them coming ....TFS Andreas

Another nice Bear Rachel - can't compete with the cute factor of the cubs though! That said, it is a really solid frame in nice light and while the looks nice and peaceful, there is still that look in the eye that says 'no messing'!
