What a glorious morning! Love the light and the entire scene with the beautiful, but understated, cat.

I haven't made it to Zim', yet, so I was surprised to see the landscape with the tall palms. Live and learn!

    Yes Gerald,

this area known as Mbiza pan, with it's tall Borassus palms is very different to Hwange's usual broadleafed woodland, acacia and grasslands, a little oasis in the desert, just beautiful both @ sunrise and sunset and reminded me of Duba in Botswana.

Oh yes, this is truly wonderful Marc: the gorgeous light, relaxed pose of the lion, stunning horizon and sky... rounded off by an effective composition. The low key look works well here to convey the mood. I wondered about lightening the whole shot but I don't think it would improve this.

Hi Marc -- This is a lovely scene , loved the settings with those tall Borassus Palms , and lovely golden light. Always a pleasure to see the subject relaxed , nicely composed as well. I would also love to see a frame where the lioness is standing besides that mound if you happen to get something like that . Very nicely done . TFS !

    Hello Marc,

Lovely sunrise scene and the colours are superb. I like the framing as is but also imagine a slightly more pano version with less sky, just a thought? I was in Hwange more than fifteen years ago but still remember this wonderful place. What I like most in this frame is the tranquility of the moment and the silence I perceive. It must have been great to experience this - very well seen and captured, thank you so much for sharing

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Hi Marc - This works quite well with wonderful warm sunrise colors and light. I like the placement in frame too. Nice one.

Will have to agree to disagree on the separation comp as I feel this is exactly what makes the image for me.
