Nice one Colin -- Love that smooth BG and the bird just pops against it. Nice bit of light in the eye as well. Composition works well for me (although i could see the crop just shifted slightly more to the right even). I've never seen this bird in person but colors look good throughout / similar to other images I've seen here. TFS

Beautiful colors against that painterly background. Great look-back pose.

Love the pose and HA. Nice feather detail with great colours. Really like the BG which shows the bird so well. Nice one.

Colin, a really beautiful frame of a bird I just love. They are so gorgeous. The background, perch and pose of the bird are all 'tops' for me and I think your composition sets this off well. Colours look great but I'd be inclined to drop the intensity of that pale blue on the back. I've checked shots I have of this species and this part is quite bright but I feel it could benefit from a touch more depth and detail. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful frame.

Great capture Colin, and beautiful bird with fine feather detail. Excellent pose and appealing BG. This may be a bit of a nit, but I've run into glow / halo against dark edges before and I'm seeing it on the edge of the dark feathers on neck and around the toes of right foot. Could be my monitor.
