    I captured this image yesterday morning at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D500
    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED shot at 400mm
    1/2000 F/8 Matrix Metering EV +1/3 ISO 1000 AWB
    Post processed in Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC 2017
    Rotated counter clockwise slightly and canvas added top and right for composition

    Very cool Joseph, you are the heron taking off guru between this and the other series. Nice complimentary colors with the blue green and red eye. Exposure and details look good. Take off pose is excellent. TFS

    Great take-off pose with the feet just releasing the perch. Nice head angle too. The heron looks exceptionally blue, but you know them better than I do.

    I love the pose and the scenery. Wing position is very nice. The head looks a bit softer than the wings to me. I agree that the blue is too strong on this and needs to be toned down.
