Another from my hide, the perch does look a wee bit chunky for the size of the bird, but I do like the pose and BG. Thanks for having a look.

Pose, background and head angle are really good. Agree the perch is a bit large but it is not a deal breaker. I do feel like the bird is lacking in fine feather details and that it is noisier than it should be for ISO 1600. Was this a very large crop? Did you have to lift the exposure a bunch?

Very handsome pose, and quite a tail on this guy. The fine feather detail looks good on my old monitor.

lovely bird and capture. I might leave a little more room lower right for the tail, feels just a wee bit cramped.

Really marvellous shot Will. The bird creates a nice diagonal across the frame as composed. Background and perch are excellent. Detail, light, tone and colours on the bird look wonderful. Even a nice catchlight on the eye. What more could you want. No grumbles from me.

Hi Will, love the simplicity of the image, with exquisite detail as Bill mentioned and a 'killer backdrop' to boot.

Agree the perch is a bit 'chunky' perhaps a quick trip to the cairngorms might be a thought , but being wet I think adds to the scene. I think a sliver off the top would help, without harming the capture. Reduce the Blue, Purple & Magenta will give you a better result, but I'll give you more when we talk.

BTW in Norway they have 'white' wagtails .

Will, I really like this... nice HA, detail, and BG would like a bit more room on the bottom.

I also thought about adding more to the bottom, to give more room for the tail. But, doing this would show even more of the chunky perch. I know where you are coming from Tim, thanks for that.
